believe me not

as an advertising professional, some would say i specialize in the fine art of fibbing’. so, i urge you not to trust me.

instead, kindly feed on these yarns woven by friendly folk who have been coerced into saying pleasant things and quote from a scripted list of compliments.

tapan is a delightfully eccentric, copywriter & teacher. he firmly believes that one has to unlearn everything before learning something. a mantra that the hundreds of students who have studied the craft of copywriting & creative process under his guidance will swear by. but underneath that fun exterior lies a thinker and strategist.

immensely popular with the students he takes his craft very seriously. and it never ends there. he continues to mentor any and all the students whom he has taught. whether to fine tune their portfolios or to give them advice on how to climb the creative ladder... it was natural for me to have him as an integral team member when we designed the advertising curriculum at st.paul's.

distinctive approach & unconventional ... that would best describe tapan's teaching method. taking the students through copy, creative development through the years!

xic loved him and his maverick approach to the subject. creative and proud to be that - students would be having a great time learning with this artistic innovative genius.

dedication is good. religious dedication even better. as a lecturer of copywriting, mr. mody delves deeply into its concepts. his teaching is simply more than just 'doing the right thing'. its more about 'doing your own thing'.

mr. mody is the perfect guide for aspiring copywriters. he kicks ass and he even kicks ass. mr. mody will take you through the dungeons of copywriting. yet, at the end of it, he ensures you see the light. and, one more thing. take your job lightly and you shall face the music. take your job seriously and you shall face awesome musicians! literally. go ahead. find out.

i worked with tapan and yes yes, why not? for nearly 6 months and that stint was not just fun and super exciting but also a brilliant learning experience, to say the least. he provides the perfect environment for learning, growing and experimenting. a caring boss, a fun-loving colleague, a perfect mentor, tapan is one of the most inspiring persons I have ever worked with. his visions are inspiring and his words witty...

his unending support & mentorship has helped me sail through rough waters, both personal & professional, time and again. working with him has been one of the most memorable experiences for me and it will always be a pleasure to work with him again.

an industry expert in the creative arena is always an advantage at school, and tapan was no less a fantastic teacher. his copywriting program always had full attendance because of his informal, inspiring & out-of-the-box thought processes and ideas. i have enjoyed participating and deliberating in his class discussions and even seen some of his professional work, which speaks volumes for itself ...

i have learned a lot from that i have used in my career as a journalist and then marketing communication professional, and would be happy to attend his class again.
